My family and I relocated from Rapid City, South Dakota, to Minnesota where I attended Minnetonka High School. As a scholar athlete, I was named All Conference in both basketball and baseball and earned a Division I baseball scholarship at Iowa State University and later, for Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, where I graduated with a B.S. in Communications. After college, I became a high school teacher and later a vice principal where I devoted myself to serving disadvantaged youth in alternative high schools in both Chicago and Minneapolis. In 2005, I obtained my real estate license and joined the Germani Group, later to become the Germani-Koenig Team and then what is today, the Troy and Amanda Group at Coldwell Banker Realty. I am married to my wife Erica, and we live with our two children, Quinn and Declan, in Shorewood. As an avid sports fan, I enjoy playing baseball, golfing and watching all sports.
